Virtual office hours are for anyone that would like to speak on an individual basis as opposed to the group discussions. In these conversations we will also explore & encourage how community members may get involved in developing the Inspirit Initiative. If you or someone you know is dealing with the challenge of caring-giving, or their own personal issues with many of life’s smaller transitions, time with these devoted professionals can be invaluable. At times, being a caregiver can be challenging, isolating, or overwhelming. Guests are invited to share their own discoveries and challenges with an experienced and supportive group about any of life’s challenges. Our hosts lead theme based discussions exploring sacred perspectives and sharing practical caregiving tools. Our intention is to provide a supportive forum for open discussion of life’s many challenges, transitions, and realizations, with a providing caring presence, and spiritual knowledge as a means of navigating our circumstances with wisdom, hope, and heart. Kula Pradipa serves as a purohit and pujari (priest) at the Bhakti Center, with a background in pancharatra vidhi and samskaras (sacraments, rites etc). He is a health care chaplain based and trained at Newark University Hospital. He works as a hospital chaplain, offering spiritual support to people of all faiths and backgrounds, primarily in the areas of mental health and death & dying. For a number of years, he has facilitated groups and workshops about the teachings/practices of Bhakti and approaches to spiritual care. A musician and songwriter, he has also been involved with a variety of musical projects, and conducts a monthly gathering for those interested in the intersection of creativity and spirituality. Barbara Slaine is a Holistic nutritionist, End of life Doula, Reiki master, Founder of Liphe Balance Center and ĭina Bandhu began exploring the Bhakti tradition as a teenager after discovering a recording of kirtan (musical chanting of sacred mantra).
